Nice things about ubuntu 9.10

- we can now mute individual apps (and that info is not lost on reboot!)
- It warns when there is low space on the PC
- it does a SMART test to the HDD
- The way to interface with the PC is polished
- New Firefox 3.5.x, with support for "open video"
- New decent wallpapers
