Current status

The Ubuntu extras remix project was paused for some time, however, new Ubuntu extras remix releases will be available, starting with version 11.10, expected in October/November 2011.

• Ability to play movie DVDs (codecs + CSS decrypter)
• Multimedia codecs (including MP3)
• Additional fonts
• unrar
• Updates: more than 308 updates (for the Linux kernel, Firefox, OpenOffice.org, evolution, f-spot, gedit, nautilus, network-manager, pulseaudio, totem, rythmbox, transmission, brasero, GIMP, etc...)

Live USB

To create a Live USB (bootable USB Flash drive), just use usb-creator (already included), or cd2usb (windows tool)
